Planned Parenthood Update 9-23-15

PLANNED PARENTHOOD DEFUND EFFORT DAILY UPDATE
9/23/2015

Yesterday, Senate Democrats voted against protecting children, capable of feeling pain, by blocking legislation that would stop abortions from being performed on babies older than five months.

Despite the Senate's refusal to take up this legislation, Senator Cruz is confident that one day America will end the horrific practice of late-term abortion.

Today, we continue the fight to defund Planned Parenthood.

The Senate is expecting a cloture vote Thursday on a short term CR which prohibits for one year any funding for Planned Parenthood.  Senate Democrats will likely block this legislation.

It's most important to watch what vote is next.

In every step moving forward, we must continue to oppose all bills that include funding for Planned Parenthood.  Funding the government does not require funding Planned Parenthood.

Senator Cruz will stand resolutely with those fighting to protect the most precious gift of all: life itself.

Each life is a gift from God. Without life, there is no liberty.

Note:

The letters to the editors page is one of the most widely read sections of the newspaper. If you want to make your voice heard, this is an excellent way to do it. Below is a list of major papers. Should you want to write a letter remember to be clear, on point and concise. Should you choose to write one, I would love to receive a copy for the Senator. Thank you!
